Cover of the Sydney Mail July 15, 1914. Image of 2 All Black players and 2 sky blue NSW players. RARE.

Four days previous NZ had defeated NSW at Sydney Sports Ground 27-6. By the time the New Zealanders played the last of 10 games on 15th August, war had been declared and the visitor were undefeated including three tests matches..

Note Australia also wore sky blue in the two Sydney based tests. The second test in Brisbane saw the home team wear maroon. Framed. A rare example.
