A significant piece of RU/RL history. Many influential figures in the formation of RL attended the post-match dinner. Glebe played Auckland City in the curtain raiser and then NSW v QLD. 

Thus, many influential Australian and New Zealand rugby players (who broke away to form Rugy league were there that day and night.) Signed by Albert 'Tibby' Cotter (Test cricketer - playing rugby for Glebe) Albert was the only Australin Test cricketer to die on active service in WW1. At the famous cavalry charge at Beersheba.
