Taken in Wellington in 1932 when Don & Jesse were on their 'honeymoon' on Mailey's Cricket Tour to North America.
From the vendor...My Grandfather, Fredrick Horseford, who lived in Wellington, New Zealand at the time, took this photo of Don & Jessie Bradman in 1932, on their Honeymoon when the ship docked at Wellington on the way home after travelling to the USA/Canada to play in exhibition games for A Mailey's Team. My Grandfather had come out from England and had started the Wellington Photographic Works.
He approached Don & Jessie Bradman, who signed the photo after it had been produced hence the "Wellington Photographic Works 68 Willis Street, Wellington at the bottom of the attached copy."
The image signed by both - Don Bradman and Jesse Bradman. Frederik had taken the photo of them and to whom he had given a copy. He asked them would they sign his copy of the same photograph, which they did.
It was used in Sir Donald's Funeral Booklet. Each auction will remain OPEN for 5 minutes after the last bid has been made.
